Leveraging over 40 years of expertise in standard power supplies, MEAN WELL has launched the MD-730 Series Servo Drives, designed for both high performance and cost efficiency.

The MD-730 Series includes bus-type and pulse-type control methods, with six models available in 200W, 400W, and 750W. These drives are ideally suited for industries such as 3C electronics, photovoltaics, batteries, packaging, and general manufacturing, where precision and productivity are key.

Compact, Efficient, and Flexible

Engineered with next-generation power devices and innovative designs, the MD-730 series achieves a compact system footprint while significantly enhancing layout flexibility. Integrated communication interfaces simplify system integration, while one-click upload/download and FOE functions boost production efficiency.

With a 2 kHz speed loop bandwidth, the MD-730 enables faster command tracking and shorter settling times for precise positioning. Equipped with high-performance control chips, the series ensures superior communication and synchronization capabilities—supporting a 125 μs synchronization cycle across all EtherCAT operating modes.

Advanced Synchronization & Control

The MD-730 achieves 300 nodes over 120 meters, with only 15 ns synchronization error and ±20 ns synchronization jitter. Its precise position loop control and enhanced jitter suppression functions enable reliable multi-axis synchronization, while protecting system stability.

Safety & Reliability

Both the servo drive and motor include built-in temperature monitoring and protection, detecting issues early and improving operational safety. Combined with high-quality motor bearings, the MD-730 delivers long-term reliability and performance.
