New addition to XLG series(XLG DA2 series)

MEAN WELL's XLG series adheres to the latest safety standards and features an isolated dimming design, catering to both constant current and constant voltage applications. This versatile series is compatible with various luminaires, including street lights, floodlights, bay lights, and general 12V/24V/48V constant voltage LED strips for diverse lighting applications. Notably, it complies with an independent control gear design, offering IP67 waterproofing and 3-in-1 dimming functions. Furthermore, the series now incorporates the DALI-2 digital dimming function, enhancing the integration potential for intelligent lighting systems.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a protocol outlined in IEC 62386 for digital control of building lighting systems. To ensure compatibility and interoperability, the DALI Alliance (DiiA) established the DALI-2 certification program. The newly introduced DALI-2 certified products within the XLG series (XLG-50/75/100/150/200/240/320W) provide a comprehensive solution for DALI system integration in both indoor and outdoor LED lighting. Products above 150W also offer an optional 12V/250mA auxiliary source output to mitigate the risk of surge conduction damage.

The XLG series employs a constant power design, allowing convenient use across different output currents. To address potential issues arising from abnormal temperatures, MEAN WELL has redefined the over-temperature protection mechanism. This innovation ensures that the LED driver derates to 75-50% when temperatures rise. Additionally, the XLG series includes Input Over Voltage Protection (IOVP), automatically shutting off the LED driver when the input voltage exceeds 320 VAC, preventing power failure due to excessive AC input voltage.
