HLG-120H-48A is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 2.5A, rated power 120W, typical efficiency 93.5%.
HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-120H-48A to power 48V LED strip lighting in a covered outdoor area?
Yes. The HLG-120H-48A delivers 48V at up to 2.5A (120W) and has an IP65 water-resistant rating, so it handles splashing water and dust in covered patios, canopies, or soffits. For fully exposed rain installations, consider the IP67-rated HLG-120H-48 or HLG-120H-48B instead.
Is the adjustable output on the HLG-120H-48A useful for matching different 48V LED loads?
Yes. The built-in potentiometers let you trim the output voltage within 43-53V and the output current within 1.2-2.5A, which helps when your LED fixture operates best at a slightly lower drive level, without needing an external dimmer.
Can the HLG-120H-48A drive 48V LED modules for commercial signage?
Yes. At 120W and 48V output, it can power 48V channel letters, light boxes, or cabinet sign modules. The adjustable output is useful for matching the driver precisely to the module string voltage. Its 90-305VAC input handles most commercial mains supplies worldwide.
How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-120H-48A handle?
Divide 120W by your strip's power consumption per meter. For instance, a strip rated at 15W/m would allow about 8 meters (120W / 15W per meter = 8m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 120W for reliable operation.
Is the HLG-120H-48A suitable for a damp basement or garage installation?
Yes. IP65 protects against low-pressure water jets and dust ingress, which is more than sufficient for damp indoor environments like basements, garages, or parking structures. For locations with direct rain or standing water, the IP67-rated HLG-120H-48 would be more appropriate.
