HEP-100-48A is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 2A, rated power 96W, typical efficiency 93%.

HEP-100 is a 100W industrial AC/DC power supply featuring the outstanding capability to operate under highly humid, dusty, oily, and high-vibration harsh environment. The entire series is housed with the aluminum case and fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. Thanks to state-of-the-art design, the working efficiency is up to 93%, enabling HEP-100 perfectly work between -55℃ and +70℃ under free air convection.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
  5. 5. A type only.
  6. 6. Safety and EMC design refer to BS EN/EN60598-1, CNS15233, GB7000.1, FCC part18.

Can the HEP-100-48A power a 48V building automation or control panel load?

Yes, if the load requires 48V DC and does not exceed 96W or 2A. Because it is a constant-voltage unit, it is best matched to automation equipment designed for fixed 48V input.

Is this a fit for 48V industrial radios, gateways, or monitoring devices?

It can be a fit when the connected 48V equipment stays within the 2A maximum output current and 96W total output. The wide 90-264VAC input range (277VAC operational) also helps when the supply is used across different AC systems.

Can I use the HEP-100-48A for 48V LED strips or low-power signage systems?

Yes, provided the lighting load is a 48V constant-voltage load and remains within 96W. Its compact 220.0 × 68.0 × 38.8 mm housing can be useful where space is limited.

Is the HEP-100-48A okay for outdoor use?

The HEP-100-48A is rated IP65 water-resistant, so it is generally better for indoor use or protected outdoor areas rather than more exposed conditions. It still supports operation from -55°C to +70°C (with derating per the derating curve) and is rated for 10G vibration.

How does the HEP-100-48A compare to other HEP-100 outputs?
