FAQ
What are the main specifications of the ILLUMAX RAINBOW+ IP68 LED strip?
This model runs on 24V DC and is rated at 14.4W per metre. It uses 60 LEDs per metre, delivers 820 lumens, has a 120 degree beam angle, and measures 13mm wide. The strip can be cut every 100mm for length planning.
Is this LED strip suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The ILLUMAX RAINBOW+ Series is rated IP68, which makes it suitable for wet and exposed environments where a waterproof strip is required. Its stated operating temperature range is -10°C to 50°C.
Can this LED strip also be used indoors?
Yes. Although it is built with IP68 waterproof protection, this model can also be used for indoor lighting applications where a durable sealed strip is preferred. Its 120 degree beam angle and 820 lumen output make it suitable for general linear accent lighting.
Does this LED strip include a driver?
No. The driver is not included with this model. It is a 24V DC strip, so product selection should allow for a compatible external driver based on the strip's voltage and total load.
Is dimming available on this model?
Yes, dimming is listed as optional for this LED strip. That means dimming capability depends on the control and power components used with the strip rather than being built into the strip itself. The strip itself is specified as a 24V DC product.
What makes this model different from a standard non-waterproof LED strip?
The main difference is its IP68 waterproof construction, which is designed for environments where moisture protection is important. This model also combines RGB rainbow-style lighting with a 14.4W/m power rating, 60 LEDs/m density, and mounting clips included in the package.
