Can I use the LPC-20-700 for a 700mA LED downlight?

This model is suitable for a LED downlight when the LED module requires 700mA constant current and its total forward voltage is within 9-30V. With 21W output power, it is aimed at smaller downlight loads rather than larger multi-module fixtures. It should be matched to constant current LEDs, not constant voltage fixtures.

Is the LPC-20-700 suitable for compact signage lighting?

It can work for compact signage lighting if the LED assembly is designed for 700mA constant current and the full load falls inside the 9-30V CC range. Because this is a constant current driver, it is meant for current-regulated LED boards rather than constant voltage signage systems. Its 21W rating keeps it in the small-load category.

Can this driver power a small LED array with higher current demand?

Yes, provided the small LED array is built for 700mA constant current operation and needs between 9V and 30V across the full load. Compared with a lower-current driver, this model is better suited to arrays that need more drive current but still stay in a lower voltage range. It is not intended for constant voltage LED products.

How do I check whether my LEDs are compatible with the LPC-20-700?

Your LED load needs to require 700mA constant current, and the total forward voltage of the connected LEDs must fall within the 9-30V CC output range. The number of LEDs depends on the forward voltage of each LED, so compatibility cannot be reduced to one fixed LED count. This driver should not be used where the load expects constant voltage output.

How does the LPC-20-700 differ from the LPC-20-350 and LPC-35-700?

The LPC-20-700 delivers 700mA with a 9-30V CC range and 21W, while the LPC-20-350 delivers 350mA with a 9-48V range and 16.8W. Their over voltage protection points also differ (31.5-40.5V vs 50.4-60V). The LPC-35-700 belongs to a different series and is not covered by this datasheet, so please check its own spec sheet.

Is the LPC-20-700 appropriate for outdoor or washdown-prone locations?

It is fully encapsulated to IP67 level and is suitable for indoor use or outdoor use without direct sunlight exposure; immersion in water for over 30 minutes should be avoided. The working temperature is -30°C to +70°C, with load derating at higher ambient temperatures per the derating curve. Refer to the user manual for waterproof installation cautions.
