Test conditions and notes12
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
- 6. A type only.
- 7. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 8. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 9. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

- 11. This product is not suitable for LED lighting applications in China.(It is recommended to use the LPF/NPF/XLG/XLC/XLN series in China)

Can the HLN-40H-42B be used for 42V illuminated sign projects?
Yes, it is suitable for 42V sign lighting, including constant-current loads within the 25.2-42V CC region. It delivers up to 0.96A and 40.3W, and signage is a typical application.
Is this driver appropriate for 42V display or cabinet lighting?
It can be used for 42V display or cabinet lighting loads that need up to 0.96A. The fixture must stay below the 40.3W maximum output, and within the 25.2-42V constant-current region when the LEDs are driven directly.
Can I pair the HLN-40H-42B with a 42V constant-current LED strip?
Yes, if the strip operates within the 25.2-42V constant-current region and needs no more than 0.96A. The driver also has a constant-voltage mode at 42V, so both the strip voltage range and current requirement need to line up with those specs.
Is the HLN-40H-42B suitable for wet or outdoor environments?
It is rated IP64, which means protection against dust and splashing water rather than full submersion. That makes it appropriate for many damp or sheltered outdoor lighting environments, and it is rated to operate from -40°C to +50°C.

The total available output is 40.3W. To estimate supported strip length, divide 40.3W by your strip's rated watts per meter, and verify the strip is a 42V product whose total current stays within 0.96A (or, for constant-current operation, within the 25.2-42V region).
