Test conditions and notes12
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
- 6. A type only.
- 7. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 8. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 9. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

- 11. This product is not suitable for LED lighting applications in China.(It is recommended to use the LPF/NPF/XLG/XLC/XLN series in China)

Can the HLN-40H-48B be used for 48V sign or channel-letter lighting?
Yes, it is suitable for 48V sign lighting, including constant-current loads within the 28.8-48V CC region. It provides up to 0.84A and 40.3W, and signage is a typical application.
Is this driver a fit for 48V accent or display lighting?
It can be used for 48V accent or display lighting fixtures that require up to 0.84A. The load also needs to stay within the driver's 40.3W maximum output, and within the 28.8-48V constant-current region when the LEDs are driven directly.
Can I use the HLN-40H-48B with a 48V constant-current LED strip?
Yes, if the strip operates within the 28.8-48V constant-current region and needs no more than 0.84A. The driver has a constant voltage + constant current characteristic, so it can also supply 48V constant-voltage strips; either way keep the load within 40.3W.
Will the HLN-40H-48B hold up in damp or dusty locations?
The IP64 enclosure is intended for protection against dust and splashing water, which makes it suitable for many damp and sheltered outdoor environments. It is also rated for operation from -40°C to +50°C.
How much 48V LED strip wattage can this driver support?
The maximum available output is 40.3W. To estimate strip length, divide 40.3W by your strip's rated watts per meter, and verify the strip is a 48V product whose total current stays within 0.84A (or, for constant-current operation, within the 28.8-48V CC region).
How does the HLN-40H-48B compare with the other high-voltage HLN-40H options?
Among the higher-voltage HLN-40H models, 36V is rated at 1.12A, 42V at 0.96A, 48V at 0.84A, and 54V at 0.75A, all around 40W output. The HLN-40H-48B is the 48V dimmable version with 40.3W maximum power.
