Test conditions and notes12
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.

- 7. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 8. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Can I use the HLN-40H-54B for dimmable LED signage?
Yes, if the sign's LED load operates within the 32.4-54V constant-current region at up to 0.75A, or needs a 54V constant-voltage supply. This model is rated 40.5W at 54V and has built-in 3 in 1 dimming. The load still has to match the driver's electrical range.
Is the HLN-40H-54B suitable for a 54V LED lighting fixture that needs dimming?
It can be, as long as the fixture operates at 54V or within the 32.4-54V CC region and draws no more than 0.75A. The available output power is 40.5W, so the fixture must stay inside that limit. Dimming uses the built-in 3 in 1 function: a resistance, 1-10Vdc or 10V PWM signal between DIM+ and DIM-.
How much 54V LED strip can this driver support?
Use the power rating to estimate length: 40.5W divided by your strip's rated watts per meter equals the maximum run length. That estimate applies to a 54V strip whose total current stays within 0.75A, or to a constant-current load within the 32.4-54V region. Check your strip rated power per meter before sizing.
Can the HLN-40H-54B be used in outdoor or wet locations?
It is designed for environments where IP64 protection is appropriate, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +50°C. IP64 supports resistance to dust and splashing water, but it does not mean submersible service. Use it where the site conditions match an IP64 driver.
What is the difference between the HLN-40H-54A and HLN-40H-54B, and what other HLN options exist?
The HLN-40H-54A and HLN-40H-54B share the same 40.5W, 54V, 0.75A electrical rating; the A type adjusts output voltage and constant current through an internal potentiometer, while the B type has built-in 3 in 1 dimming via DIM+ and DIM-. In the 40H family, the listed outputs are 12V 3.33A, 15V 2.67A, 20V 2A, 24V 1.67A, 30V 1.34A, 36V 1.12A, 42V 0.96A, 48V 0.84A, and 54V 0.75A.
