Overview

HVGC-100-350B is the model of this series: rated current 350mA, rated power 99.75W, typical efficiency 91%. Type B: 3 in 1 dimming function (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP67).

HVGC-100 series is a 100W LED AC/DC LED drive featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HVGC-100 operates from 180~528VAC and offers models with different rated current, 350mA and 700mA, respectively. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVGC-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
5. It is measured 50% ~ 100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
6. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. 7. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

Can I use the HVGC-100-350B for outdoor LED downlights or façade lighting?

Yes, the HVGC-100 series is IP65 or IP67 approved and, with waterproof connectors, can operate in wet, damp or outdoor environments. Electrically, it provides 350mA constant current with a 29-285V operating range and up to 99.75W, so the LED load must fit within those limits. It is for constant current fixtures rather than constant voltage products.

Is the HVGC-100-350B suitable for weather-exposed signage modules?

It can be suitable where the LED signage modules are designed for 350mA constant current operation and the full load falls within 29-285V. The series is IP65 or IP67 approved, and waterproof connectors can be fitted for outdoor use. The exact number of LEDs still depends on each LED's forward voltage.

Would this driver work for a small LED array installed in a demanding industrial environment?

It is designed for harsh conditions, with IP65/IP67 series approval and a case temperature (Tcase) range of -40°C to +90°C. For the electrical side, the array must require 350mA constant current and have a total forward voltage within 29-285V, with total power within 99.75W. That combination makes it relevant for rugged small-array applications.

How many LEDs can the HVGC-100-350B drive in series?

That cannot be stated as a fixed LED count because the number of LEDs depends on the forward voltage of each LED. The driver's constant current range is 29-285V at 350mA, so the total series forward voltage has to stay inside that range. This is why matching by forward voltage is more accurate than matching by LED count.

How does the HVGC-100-350B compare with the A and AB versions?

All three 350mA HVGC-100 versions share the same core electrical ratings: 99.75W output and a 29-285V constant current range. The B version offers 3-in-1 dimming (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance), the A version has a built-in potentiometer to adjust current from 210-350mA, and the AB version has both. Choose B when you need dimming without potentiometer adjustment.
