Overview

HLG-100H-20A is the 20V output model of this series: rated current 4.8A, rated power 96W, typical efficiency 93%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HLG-100H series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-100H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 20V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-100H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-100H-20A to power 20V LED strip lighting in a covered outdoor area?

Yes. The HLG-100H-20A delivers 20V at up to 4.8A (96W rated power), and the HLG-100H series' IP65/IP67 metal-housing design suits covered patios, canopies, or soffits. For fully exposed rain installations, confirm the IP rating of this A-type first.

Is the adjustable output on the HLG-100H-20A useful for fine-tuning LED brightness?

Yes. The built-in potentiometers let you trim the output voltage (17-22V) and current (3-4.8A), which is helpful when you need to reduce brightness slightly or match the driver output to a specific LED load. Lowering the current setting reduces the drive level without an external dimmer.

Can the HLG-100H-20A drive 20V LED modules for commercial signage?

Yes. At 96W and 20V output, it can power 20V channel letters, light boxes, or cabinet sign modules. The adjustable output is an added benefit for matching the driver precisely to the module string voltage. Its wide 90-305VAC input handles most commercial mains supplies worldwide.

How many meters of 20V LED strip can the HLG-100H-20A handle?

Divide 96W by your strip's power consumption per meter. For instance, a strip rated at 14W/m would allow about 6.8 meters (96W / 14W per meter). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 96W for reliable operation.

Is the HLG-100H-20A suitable for a damp basement or garage installation?

Yes. The series' metal housing with IP65/IP67 ingress protection is designed for indoor and outdoor applications, which is more than sufficient for damp indoor environments like basements or garages. For locations with direct rain, wash-down or potential standing water, confirm the exact IP rating of this A-type.
