HLG-120H-36 is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 3.4A, rated power 122.4W, typical efficiency 93%. Type Blank: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).

HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

Can I use the HLG-120H-36 to power 36V LED strip lighting outdoors?

Yes. The HLG-120H-36 outputs 36V at up to 3.4A (122.4W) and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, so it can be mounted in locations exposed to rain, snow, or irrigation spray. Its metal housing and -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating handle harsh outdoor conditions year-round.

Is the HLG-120H-36 suitable for powering 36V LED modules in channel-letter signs?

Yes. With 122.4W at 36V, the HLG-120H-36 can drive a substantial array of 36V LED sign modules for channel letters, cabinet signs, or monument signage. The IP67 waterproof enclosure and wide 90-305VAC input make it practical for exposed outdoor sign installations across different mains voltages.

Can the HLG-120H-36 power a 36V LED high-bay or industrial fixture?

How many meters of 36V LED strip can the HLG-120H-36 drive?

That depends on the strip's power draw per meter. The HLG-120H-36 delivers up to 122.4W at 36V. For example, a strip rated at 15W/m would allow about 8 meters (122.4W / 15W per meter = 8.2m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 122.4W.

Can the HLG-120H-36 handle freezing temperatures in an unheated outdoor enclosure?

Yes. It is rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +80°C, so it will start and run reliably in sub-zero conditions. The IP67 waterproof rating also protects against water ingress from ice melt or direct precipitation.

What are the differences between the HLG-120H-36, 36A, 36AB, and 36B variants?

All four share the same 122.4W / 36V / 3.4A core specs and CC voltage range of 18-36V. The base HLG-120H-36 has fixed output and IP67 waterproof rating. The -36A adds output voltage/current adjustment via built-in potentiometer (IP65). The -36AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming input (IP65). The -36B offers dimming input only and retains IP67 waterproof rating.
