HLG-480H-36 is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 13.3A, rated power 478.8W, typical efficiency 95%. Type Blank: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).

HLG-480H series is a 480W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-480H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 95.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.HLG-480H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

How many meters of 36V LED strip can the HLG-480H-36 support?

Divide the 478.8W rated power by your strip's rated power per meter. For example, a 36V strip at 14W/m could run up to about 34 meters (478.8W / 14W per meter = 34.2m). A strip at 24W/m would allow about 20 meters. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total consumption at or below 478.8W.

Can the HLG-480H-36 be installed in a location subject to flooding or submersion?

The IP67 rating means it can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. It is not designed for permanent underwater installation or locations where it sits in standing water, but it tolerates brief temporary immersion and severe weather exposure. The metal housing and -40°C to +90°C case temperature (Tcase) range add durability in harsh conditions.

What are the differences between the HLG-480H-36 and HLG-480H-36A?

Both share the same 478.8W / 36V / 13.3A core specs with a CC range of 18-36V. The base HLG-480H-36 has fixed output and IP67 waterproofing, making it better for fully exposed outdoor locations.
