HLG-480H-54A is the 54V output model of this series: rated current 8.9A, rated power 480.6W, typical efficiency 95%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HLG-480H series is a 480W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-480H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 95.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.HLG-480H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

Can the HLG-480H-54A be used in a semi-exposed outdoor installation?

Yes. Its IP65 water-resistant rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for under-eave, canopy, or covered patio mounting. For fully exposed installations or a risk of temporary immersion, consider the IP67-rated HLG-480H-54 or HLG-480H-54B.

What is the difference between the HLG-480H-54A and HLG-480H-54AB?

Both are 480W / 54V / 8.9A and IP65 rated. The HLG-480H-54A has an output adjustment potentiometer but no dimming input. The HLG-480H-54AB adds a 0-10V/PWM/resistance dimming input in addition to the adjustment potentiometer, giving you external brightness control from a wall dimmer or automation system.
