Test conditions and notes6
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the derating curve for more details.
- 6. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

FAQ
Can I use the HRP-300-7.5 for 7.5V industrial electronics or legacy control equipment?
Yes, if the equipment specifically requires a constant 7.5V DC source. This model provides 300W at 7.5V with up to 40A, which suits higher-current 7.5V loads used in industrial or embedded systems.
Is this power supply appropriate for 7.5V bench testing or embedded development fixtures?
It can be appropriate when the DUT or fixture is designed for 7.5V constant voltage input and the total draw stays within 300W and 40A. The 85-264VAC input also helps when the same setup may be used across different AC input environments.
Can the HRP-300-7.5 support multiple 7.5V loads in one automation enclosure?
It is designed for constant voltage operation at 7.5V and can supply up to 40A total. That makes it relevant for centralized 7.5V distribution in equipment where several loads share the same 7.5V bus and remain within the 300W rating.
Is the HRP-300-7.5 intended for outdoor use or only controlled environments?
The temperature spec is -40°C to +70°C, with output derating at higher ambient temperatures per the derating curve. The provided specs do not include an IP rating, so outdoor suitability is not confirmed by this data alone.
What are the main differences between the HRP-300-7.5 and the other HRP-300 versions?
The HRP-300 range includes 3.3V at 198W and 60A, 5V at 300W and 60A, 7.5V at 300W and 40A, 12V at 324W and 27A, 15V at 330W and 22A, 24V at 336W and 14A, 36V at 324W and 9A, and 48V at 336W and 7A. This model is the 7.5V version, so its distinguishing specs are 300W and 40A at 7.5V.
