  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage, please check the static characteristic for more details.
  5. 5. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
  6. 6. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again.   7. 7. Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested, but is not suitable for using additional drivers.

Can I use the PLN-20-48 for a small 48V LED strip run in a sign or display?

It can be used for a 48V lighting load up to 20.2W, which fits small sign or display lighting that matches the driver's 48V output. Because this model operates in constant current mode with a 36-48V range and 0.42A output, check that the LED strip or fixture is designed to work with those ratings.

Is the PLN-20-48 suitable for channel letter or signage lighting?

Yes, it can suit lower-power signage lighting. Its 20.2W output and 48V rating fit 48V sign lighting loads that stay within 0.42A and the 36-48V constant current range.

Can this 48V driver power a compact linear lighting fixture?

It can work with a compact 48V linear lighting product as long as the total load does not exceed 20.2W. Confirm the fixture operates within the 36-48V constant current range and does not require more than 0.42A.

How much 48V LED strip can the PLN-20-48 support?

Use the driver's maximum output power of 20.2W to estimate length: maximum length = 20.2W divided by your strip's rated watts per meter. For example, the math is 20.2W / strip W per meter = maximum meters, but you still need to check your strip rated power per meter and confirm the strip is compatible with 48V and the 0.42A constant current output.

Is the PLN-20-48 OK for outdoor or damp locations?

Its IP64 rating means the enclosure is protected against dust ingress and splashing water, so it is better suited to outdoor or damp environments than an open indoor-only driver. It is not rated as submersible, and its specified operating temperature range is -30°C to +60°C.
