Overview

PWM-120-24DA is the 24V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 120W, typical efficiency 90%.

PWM-120 series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant voltage mode with PWM style output, which is able to maintain the color temperature and the brightness homogeneity when driving all kinds of LED strips. PWM-120 operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 48V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is rated with IP67 ingress protection level and is suitable to work for dry, damp or wet locations. PWM-120 is equipped with dimming function that varies the duty cycle of the output, providing great flexibility for LED strips applications.

Test conditions and notes8

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
3. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
4. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again.
5. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >50,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 75℃or less.

Can the PWM-120-24DA be integrated into a DALI building management system for 24V LED lighting?

Yes. The PWM-120-24DA includes a DALI interface, enabling it to be addressed, grouped, and dimmed by any DALI-compliant building management or lighting control system. It outputs 24V at 5A (120W) with a PWM-style waveform compatible with 24V LED strips.

Is the PWM-120-24DA suitable for outdoor or wet-area LED strip lighting installations?

Yes. Its IP67 rating provides full dust protection and resistance to temporary water immersion, making it appropriate for outdoor enclosures and wet indoor applications. The -40°C to +90°C operating range covers extreme outdoor temperatures.

How many meters of 24V LED strip can the PWM-120-24DA support?

The PWM-120-24DA outputs up to 120W at 24V. For a 20W/m strip that supports up to 6 meters (120 ÷ 20); for a 14.4W/m strip, approximately 8.3 meters (120 ÷ 14.4). Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and apply a 20% derating margin.

Can the PWM-120-24DA be used for DALI-controlled 24V LED strips in a hotel lobby or conference room?

Yes. The DALI interface supports scene-based dimming and group control, making it well suited for hospitality and commercial spaces where multiple lighting zones need to be managed from a central DALI controller. The 120W, 24V output can drive the 24V LED strips typical of these environments.

Does the PWM-120-24DA support operation in outdoor installations during winter in cold climates?
