Test conditions and notes8
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. 33% Duty cycle maximum within every 30 seconds. Average output power should not exceed the rated power.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the derating curve for more details.
- 6. Touch current was measured from primary input to DC output.
- 7. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 8. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )

FAQ
Can I use the RPS-30-7.5 for 7.5V embedded or industrial control electronics?
Yes, if the equipment is designed for constant 7.5V input and needs no more than 4A or 30W. It is a practical fit for low-power embedded and control assemblies that do not require higher-voltage rails such as 12V, 24V, or 48V.
Is this model suitable for laboratory or test equipment that runs on 7.5V DC?
It can be used for bench, test, or measurement electronics that require a regulated 7.5V output. The supply delivers up to 4A and 30W, so the connected device needs to stay within both limits.
Can the RPS-30-7.5 power a small automation subsystem with 7.5V logic or interface boards?
Yes, for automation subsystems built around a 7.5V constant-voltage rail and drawing up to 4A. The unit also accepts 80-264VAC input, which helps when the equipment may be deployed across different standard AC mains environments.
Does the RPS-30-7.5 handle harsh temperature conditions, and is it sealed for outdoor exposure?
The operating temperature range is specified as -30°C to +70°C. No IP rating is listed, so the specs do not state any sealing level for outdoor exposure, dust, or water ingress.
What are the differences between the RPS-30-7.5 and the other RPS-30 models?
In the RPS-30 lineup, sibling models are RPS-30-3.3 at 19.8W, 3.3V, 6A; RPS-30-5 at 30W, 5V, 6A; RPS-30-12 at 30W, 12V, 2.5A; RPS-30-15 at 30W, 15V, 2A; RPS-30-24 at 30W, 24V, 1.25A; and RPS-30-48 at 30W, 48V, 0.625A. The RPS-30-7.5 version is rated at 30W with 7.5V output and 4A current.
