Test conditions and notes8
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Line regulation is measured from low line to high line at rated load.
- 5. Load regulation is measured from 0% to 100% rated load.
- 6. 33% Duty cycle maximum within every 15 seconds. Average output power should not exceed the rated power.
- 7. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )
- 8. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

FAQ
Can I use the SCP-50-24 for a 24V nominal automation system that needs a 27.6V supply?
Yes, when the system is specified for 27.6V constant voltage and the load remains at or below 1.8A and 49.7W. It offers more output current than the 38.6W 27.6V model for somewhat larger DC loads.
Is the SCP-50-24 a good fit for monitored 27.6V DC control equipment?
It can be appropriate for monitored DC systems because it provides a 27.6V constant-voltage output and includes an output voltage detection signal. The temperature compensation function (via external NTC) may also be relevant in systems where DC output behavior is watched across ambient changes.
Would this model work for multiple low-current 24V nominal devices on one DC supply?
It can, if those devices are intended to run from 27.6V DC and the combined demand does not exceed 1.8A or 49.7W. That makes it more suitable for grouped light loads than the 1.4A version in the same voltage class.
Can the SCP-50-24 be used where temperatures drop below freezing?
Yes, the published operating range is -20°C to +60°C, so sub-freezing indoor or protected enclosure conditions can fall within spec. Since no IP rating is listed, the data provided does not establish suitability for exposed outdoor installation.
What separates the SCP-50-24 from the other SCP options?
The SCP-50-24 is the 27.6V, 1.8A, 49.7W version in this group. Other siblings are SCP-35-12 at 35.9W, 13.8V, 2.6A; SCP-35-24 at 38.6W, 27.6V, 1.4A; SCP-50-12 at 49.7W, 13.8V, 3.6A; SCP-75-12 at 74.5W, 13.8V, 5.4A; and SCP-75-24 at 74.5W, 27.6V, 2.7A.
