Test conditions and notes10
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25β of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage. Please check the static characteristics for more details. Please connect L line to the positive pole and N line to the negative pole under DC input.
- 5. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can the APV-12-24 drive a 24V LED strip for retail display or signage?
Yes. The APV-12-24 outputs 24V at up to 0.5A, for a maximum of 12W. It is appropriate for short 24V LED strip runs used in retail display cases, menu board backlighting, or small decorative signage where the total load is 12W or less.
How long a run of 24V LED strip can the APV-12-24 support?
The APV-12-24 delivers 12W at 24V. At a strip consumption of 6 W/m, that equates to approximately 2 m of strip. Divide 12W by your strip's rated power per meter to calculate your specific limit, and check your strip's rated power per meter before sizing.
What are the differences between the APV-12-24 and its 24V siblings in the APV family?
The APV-12-24 provides 12W at 24V and 0.5A in a 77 Γ 40 Γ 29 mm housing and is the only 24V model of the APV-12 series. Its series siblings, the APV-12-5 (5V, 2A, 10W), APV-12-12 (12V, 1A) and APV-12-15 (15V, 0.8A), share the same housing and 90β264VAC input. Higher-wattage APV models are not covered by this datasheet; check their own spec sheets.
Does the APV-12-24 carry UL certification for use in North American projects?
Yes. The APV-12-24 is approved to UL8750 and CSA C22.2 No.250.0-08, and also to BIS IS15885, EAC TP TC 004 and BS EN/EN 62368-1. It accepts 90β264VAC (127β370VDC) input. Note that the datasheet states it is not intended for LED lighting luminaire applications in the EU and China.
