HLG-240H-48A is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 240W, typical efficiency 93%.

HLG-240H series is a 240W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-240H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-240H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HLG-240H-48A to adjust output voltage for a 48V LED grow light array?

Yes. The A suffix indicates a built-in potentiometer for output voltage (44.8-51.2V) and current (2.5-5A) adjustment. This lets you fine-tune the drive level to match the exact forward voltage of your 48V quantum boards or COB LEDs.

Is the HLG-240H-48A suitable for 48V LED strip lighting in a covered parking structure?

Yes. The IP65 water-resistant rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, which is sufficient for covered parking garages, carports, and similar sheltered structures. At 240W and 48V, it can power long runs of 48V strip with minimal voltage drop. For fully exposed locations, consider the IP67-rated HLG-240H-48.

Is the IP65 rating on the HLG-240H-48A sufficient for an outdoor electrical enclosure?

Yes. IP65 means the unit is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from all directions. It is well suited for weatherproof outdoor enclosures, junction boxes, and control cabinets.
