Test conditions and notes12
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
- 5. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. What can I use the LPV-20-24 for at 24V?
The LPV-20-24 delivers 24V DC at up to 0.84A (20.2W total), making it appropriate for small 24V LED accent strips, compact illuminated channel letters, or single-zone LED modules where the total draw stays below 20.2W. It is not intended for large strip runs or multi-zone lighting that exceeds this power budget.
How much 24V LED strip can the LPV-20-24 drive?
The maximum output is 20.2W at 24V. For a strip rated at 9.6W/m, that equals roughly 2.1 m before reaching the driver's limit. Check your specific strip's rated watts per meter and stay within the 20.2W ceiling to avoid overloading the unit.
Is the LPV-20-24 rated for outdoor use?
Yes. The unit is fully encapsulated to IP67 and is suitable for indoor use or outdoor use without direct sunlight exposure; avoid immersing it in water for more than 30 minutes. The operating temperature range is -30°C to +70°C (refer to the derating curve), making the unit suitable for compact outdoor fixtures and exterior sign cabinets where a small 24V power supply is needed.
Does the LPV-20-24 accept both 120V and 230V input?
Yes. The input range is 90–264VAC, so it operates on 120V North American mains and 230V European mains without any voltage selector switch. Confirm your supply voltage falls within this window before use.
When would I choose the LPV-20-24 over the LPV-60-24 for a 24V project?
The LPV-20-24 delivers 20.2W at 24V. It is the right choice when the total 24V LED load is 20.2W or less and a compact form factor (118×35×26mm, 0.2 kg) is a priority. For loads above 20.2W at 24V, a higher-power model such as the LPV-60-24 is required; check that model's own datasheet for its ratings.
