FAQ

What are the main specifications of the ILLUMAX LED Strip ECO Series - Waterproof IP68?

This LED strip is rated at 9.6W per metre and runs on 12V DC input. It uses 120 LEDs per metre, has a 120 degree beam angle, and can be cut every 25mm for flexible length planning. The strip is 12mm wide, with a stated lifetime of 50,000 hours.

Is this LED strip suitable for outdoor or wet-area use?

Yes, this family is specified as IP68 waterproof, which makes it appropriate for environments where strong water resistance is required. It is positioned for both interior and exterior lighting categories. Final suitability still depends on the full project environment and the rest of the system used with the strip.

Does this LED strip include a driver and can it be dimmed?

The driver is not included with this product family, so it should be selected separately as part of the overall system. The strip is listed as dimmable optional, meaning dimming capability depends on using compatible control gear. This is a useful consideration for commercial projects that need adjustable light levels.

What are the differences between the available variants in this LED strip family?

The main supported differences in the child variants are light output and color temperature. The listed variants range from 640 lm to 780 lm, with confirmed 3000K warm white and 4000K neutral white options in the family data. All listed variants share the same 9.6W power rating, driver requirement, dimming option, and 2-year warranty.

What kinds of lighting projects is this LED strip best suited for?

This strip is suited to linear lighting applications where a waterproof, low-voltage LED solution is needed. Its 120 LEDs per metre density and 25mm cutting length make it practical for projects that need smoother light distribution and flexible sizing. It can fit both interior and exterior lighting use cases within commercial or trade-focused projects.

What physical and service-life details should buyers know before specifying this strip?

The strip is 12mm wide and the parent model data lists a 1000mm length reference, with a product weight of 0.5 kg. It also includes a mounting bracket in the package, which is relevant for fixture planning and quoting. The stated lifetime is 50,000 hours and the warranty period is 2 years.
