ELG-75-24A-3Y is the 24V output model of this series: rated current 3.15A, typical efficiency 88%. Type A + 3Y: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

ELG-75 series is a 75W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-75 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 48V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-75 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. How does the ELG-75-24A-3Y differ from the ELG-75-24A?

The ELG-75-24A-3Y is the 3-wire input variant of the ELG-75-24A. It shares the same 75.6W output at 24V with a built-in potentiometer for voltage and current adjustment, but adds a protective earth wire in the input cable (SJOW 17AWGx3C); the datasheet asks for the case to be connected to PE. Temperature rating (Tcase -40°C to +85°C), dimensions and 0.8 kg weight are the same.

Is the ELG-75-24A-3Y appropriate for outdoor LED lighting in a covered or semi-exposed location?

Yes, when installed inside a fixture or sign box. The ELG-75 series is rated IP65 or IP67, and the datasheet notes A types need to be built in to comply with Type HL application. It gives no submersion rating, so avoid direct immersion.

Can the ELG-75-24A-3Y power 24V LED strip in a commercial or industrial facility?

Yes. The 3-wire input configuration suits commercial panel wiring that includes a ground conductor, and the 75.6W output at 24V covers LED strip runs for workstation under-lighting, industrial task lighting, or machine-status indicator strips at standard commercial voltages from 100–305VAC.

The ELG-75-24A-3Y outputs 75.6W at 24V on 200–305VAC input (60W on 100–180VAC). For a 10 W/m strip, that is up to 7.5 meters; for a 14.4 W/m strip, approximately 5.2 meters. Verify your strip's rated power per meter and apply a 20% derating margin for continuous duty.

Is the ELG-75-24A-3Y suitable for a hospitality lighting project where output needs fine-tuning at installation?

Yes. The built-in potentiometer lets the installer trim output voltage from 21.6V to 26.4V and current from 1.57A to 3.15A to match strip brightness requirements precisely during commissioning. This avoids over-driving strips in warm or compact luminaire housings common in hotel and restaurant installations.
