HLG-80H-15 is the 15V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 75W, typical efficiency 89%. Type Blank: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).
HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.

Can I use the HLG-80H-15 to power 15V LED strip or module lighting outdoors?
Yes. The HLG-80H-15 delivers 75W at 15V and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, so it can be installed in direct rain or wet locations. It suits outdoor 15V LED strip runs, architectural accent lighting, or sign modules that operate at 15V.
Is the HLG-80H-15 a good choice for powering 15V LED sign modules in an outdoor cabinet?
Yes. With 75W at 15V (5A), it can drive 15V channel-letter or cabinet-sign LED modules. The IP67 rating and universal 90-305VAC input make it well-suited for outdoor signage where the driver may be exposed to weather and varying mains voltages.
Can I power 15V LED light engines for commercial downlighting with the HLG-80H-15?
Yes, provided the combined load of the light engines stays within 75W. The constant-current mode with a 9-15V CC range ensures stable output even if the LED forward voltage varies slightly. Since this is the base model, there is no dimming input — choose the HLG-80H-15B or 15AB if dimming is required.
How many meters of 15V LED strip can the HLG-80H-15 handle?
Divide 75W by the strip's power consumption per meter. For example, a 15V strip rated at 10W/m would allow 7.5 meters (75W / 10W per meter = 7.5m). A higher-output strip at 15W/m would allow 5 meters. Always verify your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 75W.
Can the HLG-80H-15 be installed outdoors without an additional enclosure?
Yes. It is IP67 rated, and the sheet describes the series' metal housing as fit for both indoor and outdoor applications, so it can be mounted outdoors directly. Its case temperature (Tcase) range is -40°C to +80°C; follow MEAN WELL's user manual for waterproof installation cautions.
What are the differences between the HLG-80H-15, 15A, 15AB, and 15B variants?
All share the same 75W / 15V / 5A core specs with constant-current operation. The base HLG-80H-15 has no output adjustment or dimming and is IP67. The -15A adds potentiometers for output voltage and current adjustment (IP65). The -15AB adds output current adjustment and 3-in-1 dimming (1-10V/PWM/resistance) (IP65). The -15B adds the dimming input only and retains IP67.
