HLG-80H-30 is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 2.7A, rated power 81W, typical efficiency 91%. Type Blank: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).

HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the HLG-80H-30 to power 30V LED modules for outdoor signage?

Yes. The HLG-80H-30 delivers 30V at up to 2.7A (80W) with an IP67 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor LED sign modules that require a 30V supply. Its wide 90-305VAC input handles international mains voltages, which is useful for signage in commercial buildings with varying supply standards.

Is the HLG-80H-30 a good match for 30V constant-current LED fixtures?

Yes. It operates in constant-current mode with a CC voltage range of 18-30V, so it can regulate current to LED fixtures whose forward voltage falls within that range. The 80W maximum ensures it can drive moderate-sized 30V LED arrays or panels without overloading.

Can I use the HLG-80H-30 for outdoor 30V LED strip accent lighting?

Yes. The IP67 waterproof rating protects it in fully exposed rain and wet environments. At 80W and 30V, it will drive 30V LED strips as long as their combined load stays within 80W. Note that this is the base model with fixed output — if you need brightness adjustment, consider the HLG-80H-30A or 30AB variant.

How many meters of 30V LED strip can the HLG-80H-30 support?

That depends on your strip's rated power per meter. The HLG-80H-30 provides up to 80W at 30V. For a strip rated at 8W/m, you could run up to 10 meters (80W / 8W per meter = 10m). Check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total draw at or below 80W.

Can the HLG-80H-30 handle full outdoor rain exposure without an enclosure?

Yes. It is IP67 rated, and the sheet describes the series' metal housing as fit for both indoor and outdoor applications, so it can be mounted outdoors in direct rain or snow. Follow MEAN WELL's user manual for waterproof installation cautions.
