Overview

HVG-100-15A is the 15V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 75W, typical efficiency 89%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HVG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-100 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 15V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.

Can I use the HVG-100-15A for a 15V LED strip project?

It can fit a 15V LED strip application if the total strip load stays within the driver's 75W maximum and 5A output. Match the strip to the 15V output and check your strip rated power per meter before sizing the run.

Is the HVG-100-15A suitable for illuminated signage or light boxes?

This model can suit 15V signage or light box loads where the total demand is no more than 75W and 5A. The series' IP65/IP67 approval also makes it more appropriate for sign enclosures or exposed lighting locations than a non-sealed indoor-only unit.

Can this driver be used for outdoor architectural or accent lighting?

It is built for harsh conditions: the series is IP65 or IP67 approved and it is rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +90°C. For 15V outdoor lighting loads, stay within the 75W rating and confirm the fixture matches the 15V output.

How much 15V LED strip can the HVG-100-15A run?

The maximum available load is 75W at 15V, with 5A output current. Strip length math is: 75W ÷ your strip watts per meter = maximum theoretical meters, and you should check your strip rated power per meter before sizing.

Is the HVG-100-15A okay for wet or outdoor locations?

The HVG-100 series is IP65 or IP67 approved, so it is intended for environments where dust protection and resistance to water exposure matter; with a waterproof connector on the output cable it can operate in wet or outdoor locations. Its -40°C to +90°C case temperature (Tcase) rating also supports demanding conditions.

How does the HVG-100-15A compare with other HVG family output options?
