HEP-240-15A is the 15V output model of this series: rated current 15A, rated power 225W, typical efficiency 90%.

HEP-240 is a 240W industrial AC/DC power supply featuring the outstanding capability to operate under a harsh environment with high dust density, humidity, vibration and altitude. The entire series is housed with a robust aluminum case and fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. Thanks to state-of-the-art design, the working efficiency is up to 93.5%, enabling HEP-240, with a fanless design, perfectly work between -55℃ and +70℃ under free air convection.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
  5. 5. A-Type only.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HEP-240-15A in a 15V automation panel or machine enclosure?

Yes, if the equipment requires a constant 15V DC source and draws no more than 15A or 225W. Its 90-264VAC input range (277VAC operational, also 128-370VDC) also makes it practical for industrial power environments with broad AC input conditions.

Is the HEP-240-15A a good fit for 15V embedded controllers or industrial electronics?

This unit is designed for constant-voltage output at 15V and can support systems up to 15A and 225W. The IP65 rating and adjustable output (14-16V via internal potentiometer) are useful in enclosed electronics spaces.

Can the HEP-240-15A be used in damp or dusty locations?

This HEP-240-15A matches the HEP-240-15 electrically at 15V, 15A, and 225W, but this version is IP65 water-resistant while the non-A model is IP68.
