HEP-240-48A is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 240W, typical efficiency 93%.

HEP-240 is a 240W industrial AC/DC power supply featuring the outstanding capability to operate under a harsh environment with high dust density, humidity, vibration and altitude. The entire series is housed with a robust aluminum case and fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. Thanks to state-of-the-art design, the working efficiency is up to 93.5%, enabling HEP-240, with a fanless design, perfectly work between -55℃ and +70℃ under free air convection.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
  5. 5. A-Type only.
  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can the HEP-240-48A power 48V PLC, control, or automation equipment?

Yes, for equipment that requires constant 48V DC and stays within 240W and 5A. That makes it appropriate for many 48V control and automation loads where a regulated 48V output is required.

Is HEP-240-48A suitable for 48V embedded systems or communications hardware?

It can support 48V embedded platforms or communications hardware that are designed for fixed 48V DC input. The available output is 240W at 5A, so the total connected load has to remain inside that limit.

Can I use this model for 48V DC equipment in vibration-prone industrial locations?
