HEP-240-48 is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 240W, typical efficiency 93%.

HEP-240 is a 240W industrial AC/DC power supply featuring the outstanding capability to operate under a harsh environment with high dust density, humidity, vibration and altitude. The entire series is housed with a robust aluminum case and fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. Thanks to state-of-the-art design, the working efficiency is up to 93.5%, enabling HEP-240, with a fanless design, perfectly work between -55℃ and +70℃ under free air convection.

  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.

  6. 6. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HEP-240-48 for 48V telecom or network equipment?

Yes, if the equipment is specified for constant 48V DC input and the total draw stays within 240W and 5A. That makes it a fit for many 48V telecom, wireless, and industrial networking loads that need a fixed-voltage supply.

Is the HEP-240-48 a good choice for 48V industrial control systems?

It is intended for constant-voltage 48V loads and can supply up to 5A, or 240W. For automation panels or distributed 48V control equipment, the key match is that the system must require regulated 48V DC within that output limit.
