ELG-100-36 is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 2.66A, typical efficiency 89%.

ELG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-100 operates from 100~360VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the ELG-100-36 to drive 36V LED strip lighting in outdoor installations?

How many meters of 36V LED strip can the ELG-100-36 support?

The ELG-100-36 delivers up to 95.76W on 200-305VAC input (70W on 100-180VAC, e.g. 120VAC). Divide the wattage by your strip's rated power per meter to find the maximum run length. At 95.76W, a 36V strip rated at 10W/m allows approximately 9.5 meters. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load within the rating.

Can the ELG-100-36 be installed in a wet-location enclosure or direct rain exposure?

Yes. The IP67 rating means the unit is dust-tight and protected against temporary water immersion, so it can be mounted in outdoor enclosures, wet-location junction boxes, or areas with direct rain exposure; follow the IP installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual.

What is the difference between the ELG-100-36 and the ELG-100-36A, 36AB, and 36B?

All four share the same 95.76W / 36V / 2.66A output. The base ELG-100-36 has no adjustment or dimming and is IP67 rated. The -36A adds output voltage and current adjustment via potentiometer and is IP65. The -36AB adds both adjustment and 0-10V/PWM/resistance dimming (IP65). The -36B adds dimming only and retains the IP67 waterproof rating.
