HEP-600-30 is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 20A, rated power 600W, typical efficiency 95.5%.

HEP-600 is a 600W industrial AC/DC power supply featuring the outstanding capability to operate under highly humid, dusty, oily, and high-vibration harsh environment. The entire series is housed with the aluminum case and fully potted with heat-conducted silicone. Thanks to state-of-the-art design, the working efficiency is up to 96%, enabling HEP-600 perfectly work between -40℃ and +70℃ under free air convection.

Test conditions and notes8

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
4. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
5. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
6. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
7. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

Can I use the HEP-600-30 for a 30V industrial or automation system?

Yes, if the equipment is designed for constant-voltage 30V DC input. This model provides up to 20A and 600W, so the total 30V load must stay within those ratings.

Is the HEP-600-30 suitable for 30V embedded equipment or production test stations?

It can be used for 30V DC embedded or test applications, and its output voltage can be adjusted from 25.5V to 31.5V (current level 10-20A) by internal potentiometer. The 90-264VAC input range (277VAC operational) also supports use across a wide span of AC input conditions.

Can this power several 30V loads from one supply?

Yes, provided all connected 30V loads together remain at or below 20A and 600W. Because it is a constant-voltage model, it should be matched only to systems intended for a 30V DC bus.
