Overview

HVGC-150-1400A is the model of this series: rated current 1400mA, rated power 149.8W, typical efficiency 90%. Type A: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HVGC-150 series is a 150W LED AC/DC LED power supply featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HVGC-150 operates from 180~528VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 350mA and 1400mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVGC-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
5. Current ripple is measured between 50%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
6. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. 7. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

Can I use the HVGC-150-1400A for a 1400mA LED downlight system?

Yes, if the downlight system is built for constant current at 1400mA. The total LED forward voltage needs to stay within the 12-107V CC range, and the total load needs to stay within 149.8W.

Is this driver suitable for signage modules that need higher current than 1050mA?

It can be, because this model provides 1400mA constant current rather than 1050mA. The connected signage load must still operate inside the 12-107V output range and be designed for constant-current drive.

Can this model power a small LED array with a lower total forward voltage?
