Overview

APV-12E-24 is the 24V output model of this series: rated current 0.5A, rated power 12W, typical efficiency 83%.

APV-12E series is one 12W AC/DC constant voltage mode single output LED power supply. It accepts input 180~264VAC and provides four models with different output voltage, 5V, 12V, 15V,24V, respectively, that the small wattage LED applications employ the most frequently. Exploiting Class II design (without FG pin) and adopting the 94V-0 flame retardant plastic enclosure, APV-12E ideally fits the entry-level LED applications.

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
5. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Is the APV-12E-24 compatible with North American 120V power systems?

No. The APV-12E-24 accepts 180–264VAC (or 254–370VDC) input and is not designed for 100–120V mains. For North American 120V installations requiring 24V output, choose a 24V model whose input range covers 120VAC.

How does the APV-12E-24 differ from the APV-12-24?

The APV-12E-24 datasheet covers the E version only: 24V at 0.5A (12W) in a 77 × 40 × 29 mm enclosure, with a 180–264VAC (254–370VDC) input for high-mains markets. It lists EAC TP TC 004 and BS EN/EN 62368-1 safety approval. Check the APV-12-24's own datasheet for its input range and certifications.

What 24V LED lighting loads can the APV-12E-24 drive?
