Overview

HVG-65-12B is the 12V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 60W, typical efficiency 86.5%. Type B: 3 in 1 dimming function (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP67).

HVG-65 series is a 65W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-65 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HVG-65-12B for a 12V LED strip accent lighting run?

Yes, if the strip is a 12V model and the total load stays within 60W. At 12V, this driver provides up to 5A, so it fits shorter or medium-length 12V strip lighting runs. Check your strip rated power per meter and keep the total strip wattage at or below 60W.

Is the HVG-65-12B suitable for 12V LED signage lighting?

It can be used for 12V LED signage or channel-letter style lighting where the total demand does not exceed 60W. The HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved, which suits signage exposed to rain. Confirm the sign lighting is rated for 12V operation before selecting it.

Is the HVG-65-12B OK for outdoor or wet locations?
