Overview

HVG-65-12AB is the 12V output model of this series: rated current 5A, rated power 60W, typical efficiency 86.5%. Type AB: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer & 3 in 1 dimming function (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP65).

HVG-65 series is a 65W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-65 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can the HVG-65-12AB be used for short 12V LED strip runs in retail displays?

Yes, if the total 12V load stays within 60W and 5A. That makes it suitable for smaller display lighting sections where the strip or fixture is built for this 12V driver output.

Is this model appropriate for 12V channel letters or small sign lighting?

It can be used for small 12V signage lighting loads up to 60W. The HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved, which is useful where the power supply may be installed in locations with moisture exposure.

Can I use the HVG-65-12AB for damp or semi-exposed lighting projects?

Yes, the HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved for environments where water resistance is needed, and the case temperature (Tcase) range is -40°C to +80°C. The connected lighting load still needs to remain within 60W and 5A.
