Overview

HVG-65-15B is the 15V output model of this series: rated current 4.3A, rated power 64.5W, typical efficiency 87.5%. Type B: 3 in 1 dimming function (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP67).

HVG-65 series is a 65W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-65 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HVG-65-15B for 15V LED strip on an outdoor sign?

Yes, if the sign lighting is a 15V load and the total demand stays within 64.5W. This driver provides 15V output up to 4.3A, and the HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved for outdoor sign applications. Check the strip or module power rating before sizing the load.

Is the HVG-65-15B suitable for wet-location decorative lighting?

Yes. The HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved and can be used in wet conditions with a waterproof connector on the output cable, provided the lighting load is rated for 15V. The driver is also rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +80°C.

Can this model be used for 15V display or cabinet lighting where a sealed driver is needed?

It can be used for 15V display, cabinet, or accent lighting when the total load is no more than 64.5W. The IP65/IP67-approved construction is useful where moisture or dust protection matters more than an open indoor-only driver. Confirm the connected lighting is designed for 15V operation.

How do I work out the maximum LED strip length for the HVG-65-15B?

Take the driver's maximum output power, 64.5W, and divide it by the strip watts per meter. The formula is 64.5W ÷ strip W/m = maximum meters, with a maximum output current of 4.3A at 15V. Check your strip rated power per meter before finalizing the length.
