Overview

HVG-65-20AB is the 20V output model of this series: rated current 3.25A, rated power 65W, typical efficiency 88.5%. Type AB: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer & 3 in 1 dimming function (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP65).

HVG-65 series is a 65W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-65 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HVG-65-20AB for a 20V LED strip lighting run?

Yes, if the strip system is designed to work at 20V and stays within the driver's 65W and 3.25A output limits. This model operates in constant current mode with a 12-20V CC range, so the strip or fixture needs to match that electrical requirement. It is best suited to shorter or moderate-power 20V lighting runs rather than loads above 65W.

Is this 20V driver suitable for illuminated signage or channel letter lighting?

It can be used for 20V signage or sign-lighting loads that fit within 65W total output. The HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved for outdoor or damp-location use where the driver is exposed to rain or splashing, but the connected load still needs to match 20V operation. Output current is 3.25A maximum.

Can the HVG-65-20AB power compact architectural or accent lighting?

Maximum strip length is calculated as 65W divided by your strip's rated power per meter. In other words, total strip load must stay within 65W, and the output current must stay within 3.25A at 20V. Check your strip rated power per meter before sizing the run.

What is the difference between the HVG-65 20V, 24V, 30V, 36V, 42V, 48V, and 54V versions?

Within the HVG-65 range, the main electrical options are 20V 3.25A, 24V 2.71A, 30V 2.17A, 36V 1.81A, 42V 1.55A, 48V 1.36A, and 54V 1.21A, all around the same 65W class. The lower-voltage versions in the same family are 12V 5A and 15V 4.3A. This HVG-65-20AB is the 20V, 3.25A version.
