Overview

HVG-65-30A is the 30V output model of this series: rated current 2.17A, rated power 65.1W, typical efficiency 89%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HVG-65 series is a 65W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-65 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HVG-65-30A for a 30V constant-current LED sign or light box?

Yes, if the sign or light box is designed for constant-current operation at 30V. This driver outputs 2.17A and works across an 18-30V constant-current range, so the load has to match that electrical range.

Is the HVG-65-30A suitable for 30V architectural or commercial linear lighting?

It can be a fit for 30V constant-current linear lighting assemblies that need up to 65.1W. The key match points are the 30V output, 2.17A output current, and constant-current operating mode.

Can this driver power a wet-location 30V LED lighting fixture?

The HVG-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved, and the sheet notes that a waterproof connector can be fitted to the output cable for dry, wet, damp or outdoor environments. Check the rating marked on your unit and confirm the fixture itself is rated for the wet location.

How much 30V LED strip load can the HVG-65-30A support?

All three 30V versions are rated 65.1W with 2.17A output. The A-Type has output voltage and current adjustable via built-in potentiometers, the AB-Type has current adjustment plus 3-in-1 dimming, and the B-Type has 3-in-1 dimming (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance).
