Test conditions and notes8
  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 12, 48VDC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. Short circuit no more than 60 seconds.
  5. 5. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 230mm*230mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )

Can I use the NSD15-12S5 to power 5V embedded systems from a wide-input source?

Yes, if the embedded system needs constant 5V output and stays within 3A and 15W. This converter accepts 9.4~36V input and is rated for constant-voltage 5V output.

Is this model suitable for 5V industrial control or monitoring electronics?

It is suitable for 5V control or monitoring electronics that require a regulated 5V rail and draw no more than 3A. The 15W rating sets the total output limit for the connected 5V load.

Can the NSD15-12S5 be used for 5V automation interfaces or low-power IT hardware?
