  1. 1. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  2. 2. Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested, but is not suitable for using additional drivers.
  3. 3. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.
  4. 4. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

Can I use the PLD-40-350B for LED downlights?

Yes, if the downlight is designed for constant current operation at 350mA and the LED load falls within the 70-108V constant current range. This driver delivers up to 37.8W, so it is better suited to higher-forward-voltage downlight arrays than low-voltage constant voltage products.

Is the PLD-40-350B suitable for LED signage modules?

It can work for signage modules that are built as a constant current 350mA load and stay within the 70-108V CC output range. It is not a constant voltage driver, so it should not be matched to signage products that expect a fixed voltage output.

Can this driver power a small LED array with a long series string?
