  1. 1. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  2. 2. Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested, but is not suitable for using additional drivers.
  3. 3. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.
  4. 4. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

Can I use the PLD-40-500B for a constant current LED downlight?

Yes, if the downlight requires 500mA constant current and the LED load stays within the 45-80V CC range. With a 40W rating, it suits mid-voltage downlight assemblies better than constant voltage LED products.

Is the PLD-40-500B suitable for signage lighting modules?

It can be used for signage modules that are specified for constant current 500mA operation and fall within the 45-80V output range. It should not be used as a substitute for a constant voltage supply because this model regulates current, not fixed voltage.

Will the PLD-40-500B work for a compact LED array?
