FAQ

What type of project is the Archilight Curion 90 Downlight 16W designed for?

This is a recessed LED downlight intended for interior commercial lighting applications where a compact, high-end fitting is needed. The product is positioned as a space-efficient luminaire with a consistent light output and a Holland-made design. It is suitable for buyers looking for a professional downlight family rather than a decorative residential-only fitting.

What variant options are available in the Curion 90 Downlight 16W family?

The family is offered in black and white finishes, with 3000K and 4000K colour temperature options. All variants use a 60 degree beam angle and 16W power rating. Output differs by colour temperature, with the 3000K versions rated at 1250 lm and the 4000K versions rated at 1500 lm.

How do I choose between the 3000K and 4000K versions?

The 3000K option provides a warmer light appearance, while the 4000K option provides a cooler neutral white appearance. In this family, the 4000K variants also deliver more light output at 1500 lm compared with 1250 lm for the 3000K variants. That makes the colour temperature choice relevant for both ambience and brightness.

Is the Archilight Curion 90 Downlight dimmable, and is a driver included?

Yes, the Curion 90 Downlight family includes a driver and supports optional dimming. That means the product range is suitable for projects that may require dimming capability, while not every installation has to use it. The driver-included specification applies across the parent family shown here.

What are the key size and cut-out details for this downlight family?

The parent model dimensions are 90 mm by 90 mm with a height of 70 mm, and the product weight is 0.46 kg. Across the listed child variants, the cut-out range is 90 mm to 95 mm. This makes the family relevant where a compact recessed opening is required.

Is the Curion 90 Downlight suitable for areas exposed to moisture?

The product is rated IP44 only when installed in a closed ceiling, and only the front side may be exposed to water splashes. That means it is intended for interior environments with limited splash exposure rather than unrestricted wet-area use. Buyers should assess the surrounding ceiling condition and exposure level accordingly.

What can buyers expect for colour consistency, lifetime, and warranty?

The Curion family is specified with MacAdam step 3 SDCM for consistent colour performance. It has a rated lifetime of 70,000 hours and is backed by a 7-year warranty. Those specifications support long-term commercial use where consistency and service life matter.
