ELG-100-36DA-3Y is the 36V output model of this series: rated current 2.66A, typical efficiency 89%. Type DA + 3Y: DALI control technology (IP67).

ELG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-100 operates from 100~360VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE". For DA-Type, Constant Current region is 60%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can the ELG-100-36DA-3Y be used in a DALI smart-building system for 36V LED lighting?

Yes. The DA designation confirms DALI dimming support, and the ELG-100-36DA-3Y delivers 95.76W at 36V and 2.66A. It can be addressed by a DALI controller in a building automation system (16 groups, 64 addresses) to provide group or individual dimming of 36V LED zones.

Is the ELG-100-36DA-3Y suitable for outdoor 36V LED signage or facade lighting with DALI control?

How many meters of 36V LED strip can the ELG-100-36DA-3Y supply?

The ELG-100-36DA-3Y provides up to 95.76W on 200–305VAC input (70W on 100–180VAC, e.g. 120VAC). Divide the wattage by your strip's rated wattage per meter for the maximum run. For a 36V strip at 14W/m, that is approximately 6.8 meters at 95.76W. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load within the rating.

Can the ELG-100-36DA-3Y be installed where it may be exposed to rain or wash-down?

Yes. The IP67 waterproof rating makes the unit suitable for locations exposed to direct rain; follow the IP installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual. Its -40°C to +90°C case temperature (Tcase) rating further supports operation across outdoor climate extremes, with load derating at high temperatures.
