ELG-240-48-3Y is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 5.0A, typical efficiency 93%. Type Blank + 3Y: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).

ELG-240 series is a 240W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-240 operates from 100～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 24V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-240 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can the ELG-240-48-3Y be used for outdoor LED strip lighting in a commercial parking structure?

Yes. The ELG-240 series is rated IP65 or IP67 and the ELG-240-48-3Y outputs 240W at 48V, making it suitable for the wet and variable-temperature conditions in an open parking structure. The -40°C to +90°C case temperature range (max. ambient 60°C at rated current in constant-current mode) covers the thermal extremes typical of such installations.

What does the '-3Y' designation mean on the ELG-240-48-3Y?

The '-3Y' suffix indicates the 3-wire input version: its input cable has AC/L, AC/N and PE (green/yellow) so the case can be connected to protective earth. The core electrical specifications—240W, 48V, 5A—are identical to the standard ELG-240-48.

How much 48V LED strip can the ELG-240-48-3Y drive?

The driver delivers up to 240W at 48V on 200–305VAC input (180W on 100–180VAC). For a 48V strip rated at 16W per meter, that supports 15 meters at full load (240 ÷ 16 = 15 m). With 20% headroom (192W) you get about 12 meters at that strip density; confirm the strip's rated power per meter.

Is the ELG-240-48-3Y appropriate for powering LED signage in a food processing plant where washdowns occur?

Yes. The IP65/IP67 rating provides dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets, making it suitable for periodic washdown environments. The wide case temperature range further supports industrial facility installations.

Can the ELG-240-48-3Y power LED modules in refrigerated display cases?
