Overview

LDC-55DA2 is the model of this series: rated power 55W, typical efficiency 90%(230VAC@Full load). Type DA2: DALI-2,push dimming.

LDC-55 series is a 55W AC/DC LED driver featuring the Constant Power mode output. LDC-55 operates from 180~295VAC and output current can be adjust between 500mA to 1600mA. Thanks to the efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate -25℃~+80℃ case temperature under free air convection.LDC-55 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes10

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to " OUTPUT CURRENT SETTING ".
3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
5. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. 6. The DA type power supply is less efficient than the typical efficiency in specification by 2%.
7. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >50000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 70℃ or less.

Can I use the LDC-55DA2 for higher-current LED downlight modules?

Yes, when the downlight uses a constant current LED engine that operates within the 27-56V range at a current within this model's 500-1600mA adjustable range (1050mA default). With 55W capacity, it is aimed at constant current loads rather than constant voltage lighting products.

Is the LDC-55DA2 a good choice for small high-brightness LED arrays?

It can be, provided the array is a constant current load and its total forward voltage stays inside the 27-56V CC range. Output current is set from 500 to 1600mA with a resistor on the IADJ terminals, and the full 55W is available from 980 to 1600mA.
