  1. 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
  2. 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
  3. 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on http://www.meanwell.com)
  5. 5. When the input voltage is less than 40VAC, the SPS may exhibit degradation of performance. The final product manufacturers must re-confirm this deviation that does not affect basic safety or essential performance.

Can I use the MPS-30-24 for a 24V PLC accessory or control module?

Yes, if the device needs constant-voltage 24V DC and its demand stays at or below 1.2A. The unit is rated for 28.8W total output, which fits lower-power 24V industrial electronics.

Is this a good fit for a small 24V automation sensor or relay load?

It can support 24V automation components as long as the total load does not exceed 1.2A or 28.8W. For larger 24V loads, a higher-current power supply would be a better fit.

Can the MPS-30-24 power a compact 24V embedded or industrial communications device?

It is appropriate for compact 24V DC equipment that operates within the 28.8W output ceiling. The 88-264VAC input range is useful where the equipment may be used with different AC input standards.

Can this power supply be used in an enclosed indoor panel with varying temperatures?

The specified operating range is -10°C to +60°C, so it is intended for use within that temperature span. Because no IP rating is listed, the specs do not support treating it as an outdoor or washdown-rated model.
