Test conditions and notes5
- 1. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 2. Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested, but is not suitable for using additional drivers.
- 3. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.
- 4. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 5. For any application note and IP water proof function installation caution, please refer our user manual before using. https://www.meanwell.com/Upload/PDF/LED_EN.pdf

FAQ
Can the PCD-60-1400B power 1400mA LED downlights?
Yes, when the downlight is built for constant current operation at 1400mA. The connected LED load must stay within the 25-43V constant current range, and the driver is rated up to 60.2W. It is not intended for constant voltage downlights.
Is this driver suitable for compact LED arrays with higher current demand?
This model is intended for constant current LED arrays that require 1400mA. The array's total forward voltage needs to be within 25-43V, and total load must remain within the 60.2W rating. The exact number of LEDs depends on the forward voltage of each LED.
Can I use the PCD-60-1400B for signage modules that run on constant current?
Yes, if the signage assembly is specified for constant current 1400mA input. The driver regulates current across a 25-43V constant current range, so the module voltage must fit within that window. It is not the right choice for constant voltage signage products.
How do I size an LED load for the PCD-60-1400B?
Match the load to a constant current requirement of 1400mA and keep the total forward voltage within 25-43V. The number of LEDs cannot be fixed from the driver alone because it depends on the forward voltage of each LED. Power also needs to remain within the 60.2W rating.
Is the PCD-60-1400B intended for protected indoor use or exposed locations?
With an IP42 enclosure rating, this driver is better suited to protected indoor areas. Its operating temperature range is -30°C to +45°C, but IP42 is not the same as a weatherproof outdoor enclosure. Use conditions should reflect both the temperature rating and the enclosure rating.
