Test conditions and notes5
- 1. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 2. Direct connecting to LEDs is suggested, but is not suitable for using additional drivers.
- 3. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.
- 4. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- 5. For any application note and IP water proof function installation caution, please refer our user manual before using. https://www.meanwell.com/Upload/PDF/LED_EN.pdf

FAQ
Can the PCD-60-700B be used for LED downlights that need 700mA drive current?
Yes, this driver is designed for constant current LED loads at 700mA, which is a common drive level for many LED downlight engines. The compatible load also needs to fall within the 50-86V CC output range. Because it is a constant current driver, it should be matched to fixtures that specify constant current rather than constant voltage input.
Is the PCD-60-700B suitable for signage modules or small LED arrays?
It can be suitable for signage modules or small LED arrays when the LED load is built for 700mA constant current and the total forward voltage is within 50-86V. The 60.2W rating supports larger constant current LED assemblies than lower-power models in the series. It is not meant for constant voltage LED products that expect a fixed DC output.
Can I use this driver for a linear LED light engine with multiple LEDs in series?
Yes, the 50-86V CC range makes it relevant for linear or compact LED engines that place multiple LEDs in series and require 700mA. That combination can suit higher-voltage LED arrays more naturally than lower-voltage, higher-current modules. The final fit still depends on the array's total forward voltage at 700mA.
How many LEDs can the PCD-60-700B run?
There is no single fixed LED count because the number of LEDs depends on the forward voltage of each LED in the load. For compatibility, the load must require 700mA constant current and have a total forward voltage within the 50-86V CC range. This is different from sizing a constant voltage power supply, where the output voltage is fixed and the current draw is set by the load.
What is the difference between the PCD-60-700B and the other PCD-60 versions?
Across the PCD-60 series, PCD-60-500B is 500mA with a 70-108V CC range and 54W, PCD-60-700B is 700mA with a 50-86V range and 60.2W, PCD-60-1050B is 1050mA with a 34-57V range and 59.85W, PCD-60-1400B is 1400mA with a 25-43V range and 60.2W, PCD-60-1750B is 1750mA with a 20-34V range and 59.5W, PCD-60-2000B is 2000mA with an 18-30V range and 60W, and PCD-60-2400B is 2400mA with a 15-25V range and 60W. This 700mA version sits between the higher-voltage 500mA model and the lower-voltage, higher-current variants. The correct choice depends on the LED module's required current and forward-voltage range.
Can the PCD-60-700B be used where temperature or enclosure conditions are a concern?
The stated operating temperature range is -30°C to +45°C, and the enclosure is rated IP42. That makes it more appropriate for indoor LED applications where moderate ingress protection is acceptable. If the environment is more exposed, the IP42 rating is the first limit to review.
