Overview

HLG-60H-42 is the 42V output model of this series: rated current 1.45A, rated power 60.9W, typical efficiency 90%. Type Blank: Io and Vo fixed (IP67).

HLG-60H series is a 60W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-60H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 15V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-60H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Can I use the HLG-60H-42 to power 42V LED panels for outdoor area lighting?

Yes. The HLG-60H-42 outputs 42V at up to 1.45A (60.9W) with an IP67 waterproof rating, so it can be mounted in exposed outdoor locations. It suits small 42V LED panel fixtures or floodlights in parking areas, walkways, or building exteriors where a single 60.9W driver is sufficient.

Is the HLG-60H-42 suitable for driving 42V LED modules in a commercial light fixture?

Yes. It provides 60.9W at 42V in constant-current mode with a CC range of 25.2-42V. This accommodates LED modules whose forward voltage falls anywhere in that range. The fixed output makes it a straightforward choice for OEM fixtures or retrofit projects that do not require field adjustment.

Can I use the HLG-60H-42 to power 42V LED strips for outdoor signage backlighting?

Yes. At 60.9W and 42V with IP67 waterproofing, it handles outdoor signage environments. The constant-current operation with a 25.2-42V CC range ensures stable output even if the LED strip voltage varies slightly across its length due to thermal changes.

How many meters of 42V LED strip can the HLG-60H-42 power?

Divide the 60.9W rating by your strip's rated power per meter. A 42V strip rated at 10W/m allows about 6 meters (60.9W / 10W per meter). A strip at 15W/m allows about 4 meters. Always verify your strip's actual rated power per meter and keep the total draw at or below 60.9W.

Can the HLG-60H-42 operate reliably in extreme cold, such as an unheated outdoor enclosure in winter?

Yes. It is rated for a working case temperature (Tcase) range of -40 to +80 degrees Celsius, so it starts and operates in deep-freeze conditions. The IP67 rating protects against moisture, but note the working humidity rating is 20-95% RH non-condensing, so avoid enclosures where condensation forms on the driver.

What are the differences between the HLG-60H-42 and HLG-60H-42A?

Both deliver 60.9W at 42V / 1.45A with a CC range of 25.2-42V. The base HLG-60H-42 has fixed output and IP67 waterproofing. The HLG-60H-42A adds output voltage and current adjustment via built-in potentiometers but is rated IP65 instead. Choose the -42A when you need to fine-tune output, or the base -42 for maximum water protection.
